14th of December.

Done the last gig for this year, next gig Jan the 31st. The last couple of gigs varied widely in quality, there was some good playing, but the Potters at Burgess Hill was not good! The last gig at the John Harvey in Lewes was good, glad because my wife was there, so did end on a good note. I won't pretend that we are great all the time, we are not programmed, but if it is wrong, you fix it! We want to be out a lot more next year, so watch this space......

Malt Shovel gig review.

A very friendly pub in the centre of Horsham and once we started we had a listening audience. The band does get better and better, dare I say it, but there is no room for complacency and we need more numbers as we played a long second set that tested our song list!. Andy guitar did have gear problems and an 18th birthday group bayed for requests, but I hope we entertained the crowd that night.

Gig report, Tanners Arms.

Despite a small, select audience, the boys did good. Both sets were tight and it was very good to hear Andy's original songs receive mucho praise. Even the landlady commented on the high quality of the band, so ..cool!

Band Biographies!

Yes folks, it is time to meet the members of the band, so here are the bios of the Drew massive, aye! DREW GUITAR -Drew has been fascinated with the guitar from the age of 16 and some 30 years later is still as passionate as ever, having played in numerous bands over the years and having served a long apprenticeship. I have now arrived at my first original project, the Drew Smith band! The band is growing and developing all the time and I feel our material is interesting and above all fun to play. We sincerely hope to see real music fans at our gigs and look forward to playing for you! ANGIROO, BASS -I have has been playing bass for over 20 years and have gained a wealth of experience along the way and am always expanding and pushing the boundaries.I can be seen playing an upright bass and also have a 10 pedal effects board to extend my sound colours. Influences include Level 42 and modern jazz, someone has to love it! GUY, DRUMS - I have been playing since I was 16 and have played a lot of different styles as well as writing my own music.I am always trying to add new patterns to my playing and still enjoy going through drum books and tutors. I teach drum kit and my students help me keep my ears open and to question things. I also dabble on bass and piano. Influences would include Bill Bruford, Simon Phillips, Frank Zappa, Latin/Salsa music, Ethnic music and a touch of modern jazz, that makes two who listen to it!
